03 — OPERATE
We carry the platform.
Your team stays at the wheel.
Proxmox frees you from being dictated to on licensing. But somebody has to carry the platform: at night, during holidays, when it matters. That is exactly the risk we take on. With binding response times, hand in hand with your team, which keeps authority over applications and users.
The platform is up.
The risk remains.
After the move to Proxmox the real question begins: who is accountable for running it? Three sentences we hear in every initial call.
“Our Proxmox knowledge sits with one person. When they are on vacation, everyone holds their breath.”
PEOPLE RISK → WE ARE THE SECOND PAIR OF HANDS, WITH A WHOLE TEAM“If we do not patch, the platform ages. If we do patch, we put operations at risk.”
THE PATCH DILEMMA → WE TEST, AGREE AND PATCH WITHOUT STANDSTILL“At three in the morning nobody notices, until production stops in the morning.”
NIGHT WATCH → OUR MONITORING ALERTS US, NOT YOUOne line,
and both sides know it.
The line of responsibility runs between the platform and the guest systems, cleanly defined and written into the service schedule.
What Managed Proxmox includes.
Everything that carries the platform. Plus an honest list of what is deliberately not included.
Running the guest systems and first-level helpdesk. Applications and users stay with your team. Backup operation, capacity planning and the migration of individual systems are agreed separately: cleanly scoped instead of quietly priced in.
Binding, measured, reported.
With us, response times are part of the contract and carry a service credit. They are not a statement of intent. You choose the service window by how critical the environment is.
| Priority | Response, binding | Target recovery |
|---|---|---|
| P1 — Critical | 1 hour | 4 hours |
| P2 — High | 4 hours | 8 business hours |
| P3 — Medium | 8 business hours | 3 business days |
| P4 — Low | 1 business day | 3 business days |
If the binding response time for P1 or P2 is missed, we credit 10 percent of the monthly fee for the affected component. The details are set out in the Managed IT SLA.
Around the clock, every day
plus €295 On top of the base price, net per host per month. For environments where the night is not a maintenance window: OT, critical infrastructure, production.A 12-month term. All monitoring, patching and response work listed above is included in the base price.
Whoever changed the platform
knows it best.
Managed Proxmox does not come out of a catalog here. It comes out of the transition. We run environments we planned, built and migrated ourselves, or we take over existing ones after an audit. Either way, we know what is under the hood.
What this looks like day to day.
Three situations that keep coming back, and who does what.
A disk fails.
The monitoring alerts us, not you. We respond, arrange the replacement and document it. Your team reads about it in the ticket in the morning. Operations never noticed.
A kernel update is due.
We assess it, test it and propose a window. Your team approves, we migrate the systems live and patch node by node, without standstill.
The environment grows.
In the half-yearly review the report shows the trends: capacity, performance, generation changes coming up. Your team decides with time to spare instead of under pressure.
Let's talk about your environment.
30 minutes on your cluster, how critical it is, and where the line of responsibility should run in your case.
