ZWILLING J.A. Henckels

One shared standard for subsidiaries in Europe, the Americas and Japan.

PROJECT AT A GLANCE

ZWILLING J.A. Henckels

THE TASK
Bring national subsidiaries onto a shared IT standard.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Lead technical delivery and coordinate internal teams, subsidiaries and service providers.
THE OUTCOME
Shared tools and traceable group-wide permissions across several continents.
THE PROJECT

Starting point
and requirements.

ZWILLING brings together several brands and subsidiaries in Europe, the Americas and Japan.

Expansion through acquisitions had left each subsidiary with IT that worked locally but could not be managed consistently across the group. Technologies, permission models and processes differed. The standard was not simply imposed centrally: subsidiaries were involved in implementation.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

Every subsidiary is involved in the transition.

IMPLEMENTATION

What Sysfacts
took on.

  • Took responsibility for central technical project management, coordinating internal teams, subsidiaries and external providers
  • Made communication and subsidiary involvement a dedicated part of the project
  • Harmonised identities, user directories and permissions across the group. Migrated the environment to a hybrid Exchange Online infrastructure
  • Integrated SAP and production-related applications, starting with measures the subsidiaries could use immediately
AFTER THE PROJECT

What changed for the client.

OUTCOME AND OPERATIONS

Employees across all sites work on the same platform with the same tools. Permissions are now traceable across the group. SAP and production-related systems are integrated into the platform.

Technical context
01

A varied IT landscape

Subsidiaries and brands used different technologies, permission models and processes. Each environment worked locally, but they could not be managed consistently across the group.

02

Identity and collaboration

User directories and permissions were harmonised using Active Directory and Entra ID. The target environment includes Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and a hybrid Exchange Online infrastructure.

03

Business-system integration

SAP and production-related applications were integrated into the shared platform. Delivery started with changes that benefited subsidiaries immediately.

04

Rollout across sites

Sysfacts coordinated internal teams and external providers across Europe, the Americas and Japan. Subsidiaries were involved in delivery. Permissions are now traceable across the group.
